Amenities
Every renter will get access to the entire house, kitchen, furnishings, and grounds, except for two "owners closets" and utility areas.

The beds all have comforters and there are plenty of pillows. We'll also include kitchen basics like a sponge and dish towels, 3 hand towels, bath mats for the tubs, dish soap and hand soap. We'll have some paper towels and toilet paper. Additional supplies for long visits can be purchased in town. Please conserve in general - and only use what you need.

Note that we don't have any beach towels at the Mod Chalet. If you want towels for pool or beach, please bring your own. Please don't sleep on the decorative pillows.

Linen service costs $50 per stay. This will include sheets and pillowcases for the beds, as well as a hand towel and bath towel per guest.

The driveway is plowed in the winter, but some shoveling may be required on the stairs and walkways.
Logistics
  • Check out is at 10am. Check in is at 3pm.
  • Google Maps knows how to find the house.
  • Bring tire chains in winter - at times they are required for access.
  • We have prepared a Guest Packet with all the details you need to safely enjoy your stay, including how to use everything in the house and things to do in the area.
  • There is a security camera outside the house, but (of course) no cameras in the house.
  • We have a local cleaning service and handyman for emergencies.
  • We recommend stopping in Murphys or Arnold to stock up on groceries on the way up. Or bring what you need for the first day. You won't want to drive right back down once you get settled.
  • There is a land line phone (with long distance) that you can use. Arnold has good Verizon coverage, but very poor AT&T coverage.
  • Like all houses in Arnold, the Mod Chalet has a septic system. Please follow the rules and don't flush or drain stuff you shouldn't.

Rules

We ask that you respect the house and our stuff as if it were your own. We put a lot of work into making it as nice as possible and want all of our guests to have a great experience. Please return furniture, books, games, etc to their original place if you move it for any reason. If something is wrong or could be improved, please tell us. We can’t fix it for you or future guests if we don’t know about it.
  • No smoking
  • No pets
  • No large parties or events
  • Shoes off on carpeted areas
  • Lock the doors when you leave the house unattended
  • No skis or snowboards in the house
  • Guests must read and follow all of the information about the house, it’s furnishings, systems, and safety provided in the Guest Packet.
